Thank you for joining us on April 12th at THE HEIGHTS Community Center for a full-day in-person continuing education event to explore the landscape of dementia care as it continues to evolve with the pioneering of new pharmacological treatments and CMS’s approval of the new GUIDE care model.
Attendees learned from expert speakers in the fields of neurology, pharmacy, occupational therapy, and social work, as well as the true experts in dementia care – people living with the disease themselves and their care partners.

Dr. Joy Snider, MD, Washington University of St. Louis School of Medicine
Dr. Snider will highlight and explain new pharmacological treatments in dementia care, including Lecanemab and Donanemab.
Jan Fabick, MSW, LCSW, Social Worker & Mackenzie Jones, BSW Dementia Navigator at Memory Care Home Solutions
Jan Fabick and Mackenzie Jones will provide an overview of Care Ecosystem, a dementia navigation program that delivers ongoing support and comprehensive care for people living with dementia and their care partners.
Dr. Mark Ruscin, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS, at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
Dr. Ruscin and Dr. Gable will explore pharmacological approaches for managing challenging behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia and speak on the crucial role of pharmacists in an interdisciplinary care team.
Jill Cigliana, MSOT, OTR/L, Executive Director at Memory Care Home Solutions & Chair of AOTA Dementia Community of Practice
Jill Cigliana will lead discussion among leaders in the long-term care industry on best practices of support, respite, and care. She will host a panel of people living with dementia and their care partners in a discussion on their interactions with dementia care professionals and the wisdom on improving their experience.
