Caregiving Solutions in a Time of Coronavirus (COVID-19): Basic Facts

COVID-19 is a new strain of a virus that attacks the respiratory system and other organs. Because it is a new virus, there are few people who have an immunity to it. So far, there is no vaccine to protect us against it. It is likely that the person you care for is at a high-risk of having complications from the virus, since most people living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias are over the age of 65 and likely have another chronic illness.
