2016 Alzheimer’s Community Service Award Honorees
The Memory Care Home Solutions Community Service Award is presented to individuals or entities who have demonstrated extraordinary commitment and advocacy to the welfare, health and education of the St. Louis community
Debbie and Jack Thomas were chosen as the recipients for the 2016 Alzheimer’s Community Service Award to honor their commitment to the mission of Memory Care Home Solutions: to extend and improve quality time at home for families caring for a loved one with memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
Debbie and Jack are very open regarding their family’s intimate connection to our cause – they struggled for many years as Jack’s father progressed through the disease at a time when little was known about Alzheimer’s. Jack’s father wanted to stay in his home and his family worked together to make this possible. Their story is beautiful.
“Debbie and Jack’s experience as caregivers, their passion for our community and their deep personal understanding of our mission to extend and improve quality of time at home for families caring for a loved one with memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease make them the perfect honorees.” – Lisa Baron, Founder and Executive Director, Memory Care Home Solutions
