Founder and Executive Director Lisa Baron, J.D., established Memory Care Home Solutions to bring a service, unique in the nation, to families at home caring for loved ones with memory loss, dementia or Alzheimer’s disease. During the five years prior to founding Memory Care, she served as General Counsel and Director of Development of Parc Provence, the largest senior care facility in Missouri for those with Alzheimer’s disease. At the same time that Ms. Baron served as General Counsel, her mother-in-law suffered with the disruptive stages of Alzheimer’s disease. She, her husband and their four daughters became poignantly aware of an unmet need of Alzheimer’s caregivers for training and community resource information at home. Because of her personal and professional passion to provide dementia care, she launched Memory Care Home Solutions in 2002. To date, the organization has served thousands of individuals. In 2011 she received a “Leadership Service Award” for her participation in the 2009-2012 State Alzheimer’s Task Force, a panel of 18 members statewide. In February 2009 she was invited to join a United States Senator’s Healthcare Advisory Panel. Ms. Baron received the Innovation Award in Leadership Training for Managers from Dale Carnegie in March 2008.
